Entry 5.2, day 20
Hrrr... I have realized that I have no driving concept as to why I create these "inventions."
I wonder why...?
I guess because I enjoy it, but to what benefit? I don't know. Confused here. That doesn't happen very often. Lai wants to go into town tomorrow/tommorrow. Meh. I don't want to.
And I can't get to sleep.
Entry 5.3, day 21
We went into town, after a "heated" debate.
Here's how it went.
"I can't believe I agreed to this," I grumbled.
"I can. It's because I pestered you to no end about it," Lai responded.
I sighed and crossed my arms. "We will stop by the gymnasts' area, right?" I asked sullenly.
"Maybe. People always stare at us when we go there."
"People stare at us anyways. How many other people do you see here walking side-by-side with a native?"
"By native you mean..."
"Sprites. Homosapiens paternus. Alaxans."
"Sshhh!! You know you're not supposed to use your home language!!" Lai hissed.
I rolled my eyes. "Huh. So??"
Lai rolls his eyes in return. "Whatever."
I growl and follow him along the street.
Later, as we come out of the bookstore, Lai is carrying approximately seven books.
"You know, you really should get your hair cut," I commented dryly as he practically fell down the steps. "It's much too long, apparently you can't see past it."
"I can too!!!" he protested.
"Then turn around," I suggested.
Lai did so and crashed into a girl passing by.
"Oh! I'm sorry!" The girl bent to help pick up his books. "Here you go."
Lai stood up. "Er- hi."
"Hi, I'm Akira. Akira Kitaura."
"Er- I'm- uh..."
"Laison, smart one," I supplied.
"Yes. Lion. Laison," he said.
"Lion. Roar," I said dully.
"So... I guess I'll see you around," Akira said, smiling.
"Uh- sure... Yeah."
"Are- you okay?" Akira asked uncertainly.
"You have merely rendered him incoherent," I explained. "It's not hard to do."
"Uh... right. I'll see you later, then. Bye!" she said, and walked off.
"Lai!" I said sharply.
Lai jumped. "What?"
"Wake up."
And then we went home.
Confused. Sort of. Not really. Don't know.
